Research /teaching

In the area of research and teaching, the following (teaching) events take place on a regular basis:

• In cooperation with the Clinic and Outpatient Department for Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery at the University Clinic in Cologne, a course entitled “Sports orthopedics and sports trauma surgery” takes place for medical students every semester. As part of this course, theoretical and practical topics are discussed at the University of Cologne as well as on the premises of the MediaPark Klinik.
• In conjunction with the Practice for Internal Medicine, we hold a sports medicine professional training course at regular intervals which, in addition to other requirements, is necessary for obtaining the additional qualification in sports medicine.
• As a European training centre we hold training events in cooperation with Arthrex featuring live operations. Participants get to observe surgical techniques performed live by an experienced, highly skilled technical surgeon. In addition, participants have the opportunity to perform practical surgical exercises on a model.
• Our employees are invited regularly as instructors for medical training/user courses in selected specialty areas, such as arthroscopy, endoprosthetics and foot surgery.
• Our employees regularly lecture at national and international medical conferences on selected topics.
